Konsortium Transonic (Sabah) Sdn Bhd confident that mini hydroelectric power plants were among the best solutions to the power supply shortage in the state of Sabah.
The consortium is currently proposing to Sabah Renewable Energy Corporation (SREC), the subsidiary to Yayasan Sabah Group and Innoprise Synergy Sdn Bhd (GLC), to invest RM3,000,000,000.00 ( Ringgit Malaysia Three Billion) to join the pack.
Our mission is to contribute a minimum 200MW up to 500MW to stable power supply to Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) for Sabahan benefits and attract investments to the state.
The usage of renewable energy in Sabah was in line with Federal Government’s policy and Sustainable Development Goals.
Small scale hydropower is able to generate and supply electricity to grid off and rural applications with almost zero emission. Sabah is blessed with abundance of water sources and receives high rain volume per year which can be used to generate power.
A total of Sixteen schemes for small hydropower potential have been identified throughout Sabah and we are looking at Five schemes; Keningau, Ranau, Tenom and 2 in Kota Belud.
The 5 hydropower schemes are Sg Bayoyo (Sg Bunsit) hydropower scheme, Sg Rayoh hydropower scheme, Sg Mokodou hydropower scheme, Sg Wariu hydropower scheme and Sg Panataran (Sg Melangkap) hydropower scheme.
KONSORTIUM TRANSONIC (SABAH) SDN. BHD. drives rural development via high-impact projects, advanced technology, and trust-building. Elevating Sabah’s competitiveness, solving rural challenges, and aligning with government needs.
